SPEECH National education day Assalamualaikum Wr. Wb Praise be to compassionate and merciful God, just and wish, who grants His favor and mercy to those who obey Him, who punishes thoes who disobey Him. Ladies and gentlemen, who I respect Indonesia is a large country, which is inhabited by hundreds of millions people with hundreds of islands spread widely. We have been independent since 1945, but part of people thought Indonesia has to become independent in terms of education yet. Even though we have changed its curriculum almost every year, but it is evident that education in Indonesia has not been able to compete as a whole with the developed countries. We tend to be left behind and have not been able to print human resources quality of developed countries. Ladies and gentlemen who I respect I tried to draw a line to the rear, and I get the irony that it is disappointing. ANALYSIS STORY   THE EMPEROR’S THREE QUESTIONS (BY LEO TOLSTOY) In this story the writer try to analyse the one of character, Setting and plot. One day it occurred to a certain emperor that if he only knew the answers to three questions, he would never stray in any matter. .     1. What is the best time to do each thing? .     2. Who are the most important people to work with? .     3. What is the most important thing to do at all times? .     The emperor issued a decree throughout his kingdomannouncing that whoever could answer the questions would receive a great reward.   Many who read the decree made their way to the palace at once, each person with a different answer. .     In reply to the first question, one person advised that the emperor make up a thorough time schedule, consecrating every hour, day, month and year for certain tasks and then follow the schedule to the letter.   Only then could he hope to do every task at the right time.

REPORTED & QUOTED SPEECH (INDIRECT & DIRECT SPEECH) Indirect speech is the form of a statement expressing other people's questions (reported speech) that has been said directly (direct speech) by changing the format of the conversations so that it becomes more clear , natural , and efficient for the listener . Direct speech a sentence spoken directly by the speaker in writing accompanied by aphostrof marks at the beginning and the end of the sentence as text dialogue .
